H & M

Some are following my posts on the homeless an unemployment post.

H&M sent a reply to one the posts on their Facebook wall. It reads:

H&M Facebook

I contacted H & M and wrote them this:

I am currently homeless. I posted about the need homeless people have for clothing on your FB page.

You could make a donation to St. Stephen’s Free store for people who are looking for work. (Especially interviewing clothes). Their contact information is:

Or you could donate to Sharing and Caring Hands in Minneapolis.

f you as an individual, your company, church, foundation, or special group want to help this needed ministry, please contact Mary Jo Copeland at:

Sharing and Caring Hands

Minneapolis, MN 55405

Office Hours

I am sure many other homeless shelters have needs for clothing.

Thank you,

Tore Simonsen

(Most readers know that as a homeless person, I do receive goods and benefits from local shelters, including St. Stephen’s and Sharing and Caring hands.)

One Response to “H & M”

  1. As Program Director of the Free Store, I appreciate you raising awareness for us, our program, and how ridiculous the slashing of perfectly wearable (excitedly wearable!) clothing is.

I am proud of the NYTimes for bringing this matter to the nation’s eyes and I hope that their (and others’) business practices will change.

    Thank you for being involved.
