Here is a photograph of the Joss Whedon autographed unofficial 4th script. The scripts were written by me for Eliza Dushku.

Media Awareness.

Posted in Dollhouse and media with tags , , , , on February 8, 2010 by toresimonsen

There is growing media awareness of the attempts to save the show.

The biggest recent addition was this story on Ohnotheydidn’t:

Man obsessed with Eliza Dushku is homeless after plans to meet her go awry, now only mission is to save the canceled “Dollhouse”.

There are some inaccuracies in the story. The following story also contains some inaccuracies which I have already commented on.

This follows on the footsteps of another story about me in Lillie Suburban newspapers.

A bright spot is this nice coverage in SFFANDOM.

Email outreach to the media was met with limited success:

Finally, the Pittsburgh Post Gazette posted my question and responded. (Scroll down to post by Tore).

Some blogs appear to simply rant in a rather defamatory way.

Here is one that seems particularly misguided.

Unfortunately, it has not been alone in portraying me in a negative and false light. Most of the time, the haters get tired and go away.

Here is a really old one of me in which the individual makes some wild accusations about the blog itself.

Others have also made posts to various forums such as this post in Kotaku.

In any event, I’ve tried to set the record straight by providing people with access to my medical records which state clearly that I am not a threat to myself or anyone else and that Dr. Tom Grace acknowledged that I am in love with Eliza Dushku.

Nevertheless, I still see misleading stories like this.

Media coverage of my situation (not too much focus on my attempts to save Dollhouse):

Story about me in Lillie Suburban newspapers.

Please keep trying to save Dollhouse. Also, it looks like Eliza Dushku is going to be in a new movie called Open Graves. A [p]review is here.

MSM response- Media Bias?

Posted in Save Dollhouse, Dollhouse and media, Saving Dollhouse with tags on February 3, 2010 by toresimonsen

The response has been fairly scarce by the MSM. I have sent out press releases to many MSM sources as well as talked to journalist in person. Is there a bias against Dollhouse? I’m not sure. I asked Rob Owens of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette to support Dollhouse and he refused to commit to helping save Dollhouse.

Rob Owens will not help save Dollhouse by sigining TNT petition.

Update: The Pittsburgh Post Gazette posted my question and responded. At least they were willing to take a public stand on the matter even if I disagree with the position.

Angry Escapist Trolls.

Posted in <3, Dollhouse and censorship, Dollhouse and gaming, Save Dollhouse, Saving Dollhouse with tags , , , on February 3, 2010 by toresimonsen

I am getting a lot of angry comments from angry escapist trolls (ET). This appears to be a small but vocal minority of Escapist readers who are upset about my posts to save Dollhouse.

It is impossible to say why exactly posts about the Dollhouse threaten forum admins or outrages some of the escapist forum trolls so much- only that they do. [I would note that the angry Escapist Trolls have apparently appointed themselves as guardians of the Escapist community and apparently feel comfortable with deciding what is or is not appropriate for the Escapist community rather than let members of the community decide for itself. Shouldn't people be provided with the opportunity to decide for themselves whether or not the information is relevant to them?]

The reason for the ban was my post on the eviction by Catholic Charities in response to my lawsuit. Currently, I have been prohibited from using their facilities- which include access to $1 laundry, breakfasts, foot massage services, etc… The forum admin considers the story an advertisement. I do not. I consider it newsworthy.

I did post to Escapist articles on Dollhouse in which I ASKED people to sign the petitions and send emails. These posts are not the subject of my current ban.

These are the kinds of minor things, which have impaired progress in getting signatures all along. It wears one down to constantly have to challenge the forum admins who are apparently unaccustomed to novel and interesting posts. The good news, in several cases the bans have been reversed. In truth, I am not sure these forums are not good for collecting signatures anyway. I get very little traffic from them.

I would also note some forums seem very open- like Sarcastic Gamers. TY!

Falling in love with Eliza Dushku

Posted in Save Dollhouse with tags , , on January 29, 2010 by toresimonsen

I am homeless and madly in love with Eliza Dushku. I wrote some Dollhouse scripts and took an ill-fated trip to Los Angeles to give the scripts to Eliza Dushku. Now I am homeless in Minnesota and trying to save Dollhouse.

This story, about me, ran in a police blotter in Lillie Suburban newspapers:

“Missing Shoreview man found in L.A.

A Shoreview man with strong feelings for TV star Eliza Dushku drove to California to hopefully meet the 29-year-old actor with the tattoo of an Albanian eagle on her neck and to deliver three scripts he wrote to help save the science fiction drama “Dollhouse” from cancellation. The 37-year-old who had kept his plans to himself was reported missing but later found in L.A. and flown home by his sister. His vehicle remains in California. The man now lives in a homeless shelter in Minneapolis and the show has been canceled.”

The article is right that my car is in CA, but I gave it away. I am currently living in a Minneapolis homeless shelter. A few things are very wrong. Eliza is an actress. I wrote 4 scripts. I also wrote them before the show was canceled. They are a gift to Eliza Dushku. I love her.

I am doing this because I love Eliza.
